Today's Quote: "We have only two modes - complacency and panic." -- James R. Schlesinger, the first energy secretary, in 1977, on the country's approach to energy.
Apparently, our national energy policy hasn't changed. Come to think of it, those two modes seem to apply to most of the government and American society in general.
After tossing and turning all night, my morning BP reading was 111/76. There was no way that could be right so I took it again about half an hour later and it was 115/79. I still found that hard to believe. I took a reading right after I got home -- 124/80. Still pretty good. What's going on here? Am I getting healthy or something?

Up until a couple of days ago, most of my readings this month have been a little high, now suddenly, in the normal or even optimal range. I haven't seen any discernable patterns -- in the levels, behavior, amount of sleep, stress, paydays, whatever. In fact, the last couple of days, I've probably been a little sleep deprived, which should raise it.
It just doesn't make much freakin' sense. I'm just happy for more or less normal levels.
